On a job site, a handwashing station usually rides along with the porta potty rather than standing alone — Deschutes County food-handling guidance and most GC safety plans expect one within reach of the toilet, especially where crews are eating lunch on-site near Century West or Southeast Bend framing jobs. For events, it's the opposite pattern: a Broken Top or Tetherow wedding might rent two or three stations positioned near the food table and away from the restroom line, since guests wash hands more often than they use the bathroom over a four-hour reception.

The trade-off comes down to reservoir size versus foot traffic. A single-basin foot-pump unit works fine for a 10-person crew replacing a roof in River West, but a 150-guest wedding at Riverbend Park or along the Deschutes River needs either a multi-basin station or a refill mid-event — we ask headcount and event length before quoting so you're not stuck with a dry reservoir at hour three. Gravel driveways in Old Farm District and NorthWest Crossing are no problem for the dolly-mounted units, but a station bound for lava rock terrain or an unpaved forest road near Mt. Bachelor gets flagged during booking so we bring the right cart and confirm the truck can actually reach the pad.

Stations get delivered level and pre-filled, then serviced on the same rotation as your toilets if the rental runs multi-week — reservoirs topped off, soap and towels restocked, gray water pumped out. Because it shares a delivery slot with the porta potty order, adding a handwashing station rarely changes your delivery window; it just adds a line to the same invoice and the same truck run.
